It started with a journey.......... Pollie and Garry first visited India in November 1995 after careers in Art Education. The impact of this visit was immediate and has resulted in almost annual visits, culminating in organising and escorting a tour for eleven other potters in February 2009, their 12th visit. From the very start they were excited and inspired by the richness of the tribal textiles and their work is in response to this. Surface decoration and pattern is the stimulus rather than the form and they portray this using many and varied decorative techniques. Increasingly, their wall panels are becoming more like paintings, with always something new to discover in them ......... turning full circle to their original training as fine art painters?
